Some unhealthy eating habits do worse than make you fat and tired – they age you from the inside out. Do you know that certain foods you eat wreak havoc not just with your health but also with how youthful you look and how well you age in every way? The old adage ‘You are what you eat” is true. It is nutrition, not our chronological age, that determines how youthful we look and feel.
Here are 5 Foods That Speed Up Aging and Make You Look Older

1.Sweets
When people consume more sugar than their cells can synthetize, excess sugar molecules bond with proteins and trigger a process that can affect the skin collagen (the protein that keeps the skin elastic and youthful). Also, sugar damages teeth causing tooth-decay and discoloration.
2.Alcohol
“When your liver is functioning well, toxins that could potentially affect the skin are expelled naturally through your body. But if toxins build-up in your liver, and aren’t broken down properly, your skin can develop a variety of issues, like acne, sallowness, and wrinkles. Alcohol is also bad for your sleep because it dehydrates. “Inadequate sleep is linked to wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, and reduced skin elasticity”.

3.Red meat
“Fatty meat generates free radicals”, says Dr. Ostad. Free radicals are molecules having one electron instead of two, which makes them unstable and prone to snag electrons from other molecules, thus turning them into unstable cells that will, in turn, snag electrons from another cell etc. Free radicals affect the ability of the skin to protect itself and generate collagen. eat lean meats such as turkey and chicken and to consume large amounts of fruits and vegetables, rich in antioxidants.

4.Trans fats
Trans fats can be found in fast food, deep fried foods, margarine, canned frosting, any junk food, and the list goes on and on. Not only do they raise the risk of developing heart disease, but they also stiffen the arteries or constrict the blood vessels. This weakens the blood-flow to the skin and causes premature aging and wrinkles.
They could even make your skin more vulnerable to UV rays. It is better to avoid products that list hydrogenated oil on the label.

5.Excess salt
Excess salt can be found in a lot of popular products: cheese, pepperoni pizza, chips, crackers, cereals, etc. Salt causes the body to retain water and leads to a “puffy” look. It also causes the cells to shrink and leads to dehydration. Not enough water leaves the skin with wrinkles and, as a result, makes it age faster.

Here are few products that will help you keep your skin looking fresh and young:
• Pomegranates: contain vitamins and antioxidants, help fight off sun damage.
• Extra vAirgin olive oil: contains omega 3 and fatty acids that are good for the skin.
• Blueberries: are rich in antioxidants, they help to keep blood vessels elastic and lower blood pressure.
• Green tea: helps to prevent oxidative damage to your skin from UV radiation.

The military diet is currently one of the world's most popular "diets." It’s claimed to help you lose weight quickly, up to 5 pounds in a single week.
But does this diet actually work, and is it something you should try? This video explains everything you need to know about the military diet.

What Is the Military Diet?
The military diet, also called the 3-day diet, is a weight-loss diet that can help you lose up to 5-pounds in a week.
The military diet plan involves a 3-day meal plan followed by 4 days off, and the weekly cycle is repeated again and again until you reach your goal weight.
Proponents of the diet claim that it was designed by nutritionists in the US military in order to get soldiers into top shape quickly.
How Does the Military Diet Work?
The 3-day military diet is actually split into 2 phases over a 7-day period.
For the first 3-days, you must follow a set low-calorie meal plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are no snacks between meals.
Total calorie intake during this phase is roughly 1,100–1,400 calories per day.
This is much lower than the average adult's intake, but you can check your own calorie requirements using online calorie calculator.
For the remaining 4-days of the week, you are encouraged to eat healthy and continue to keep your calorie intake low.
Proponents of the diet claim that you can repeat the diet several times until you reach your goal weight.

An unhealthy diet can damage your metabolism, cause weight gain and even hurt organs, such as your heart and liver. But what you eat also impacts another organ — your skin.
As scientists learn more about diet and the body, it's increasingly clear that what you eat can significantly affect the health and aging of your skin.
This video takes a look at 5 of the best-foods for keeping your skin healthy.
1.Fatty Fish
Fatty-fish, such as salmon, mackerel and herring, are excellent foods for healthy-skin. They are rich sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which are important for maintaining skin-health. Omega-3 fatty acids are necessary to keep skin thick, supple and moisturized. In fact, a deficiency in omega-3 fats can cause dry skin.
The omega-3 fats in fish reduce inflammation, which can cause redness and acne. They can even make your skin less-sensitive to the sun's harmful UV rays
Fatty-fish is also a source of vitamin E, one of the most important antioxidants for your skin. Getting enough vitamin E is essential for protecting your skin against damage from free radicals and inflammation.

2.Avocados
Avocados are high in healthy-fats. These fats benefit many functions in your body, including the health of your skin.
Getting enough of these fats is essential to keep skin flexible and moisturized.
One study in over 700 women found that a high intake of total fat — specifically the types of healthy-fats found in avocados — was associated with more supple, springy skin.
3.Red or Yellow Bell Peppers
Bell peppers are an excellent source of beta-carotene, which your body converts into Vitamin-A.
One cup of chopped red bell pepper contains the equivalent of 92% of the Reference Daily Intake of vitamin A.
They’re also one of the best sources of vitamin C, necessary for creating the protein collagen which keeps skin firm and strong. A single cup of bell pepper provides an impressive 317% of the Reference Daily Intake of vitamin C.
A large observational study in women linked eating plenty of vitamin C to a reduced risk of wrinkled and dry skin with age.

4.Broccoli
Broccoli is full of many vitamins and minerals important for skin health, including zinc, vitamin A and vitamin C. It also contains lutein, a carotenoid that works like beta-carotene. Lutein protects your skin from oxidative damage, which can cause your skin to become dry and wrinkled.
But broccoli florets also pack a special compound called sulforaphane, which boasts some impressive potential benefits. It may even have anti-cancer effects, including on some types of skin cancer.
5.Green Tea
Green tea may protect your skin from damage and aging. The powerful compounds found in green tea are called catechins work to improve the health of your skin in several ways.
Like several other antioxidant-containing foods, green-tea can help protect your skin against sun damage. While green-tea is a great choice for healthy skin, you may want to avoid drinking your tea with milk, as milk could reduce the impact of green tea’s antioxidants.

When it comes to exercise, it's no secret that running is good for you. But do you know what happens to your body when you run? I'm not just talking about sweating and getting out of breath.
Much like yoga and strength training, running provides so many healthful benefits. The rad thing about it is that you don't even need to run a marathon. A short and sweet morning or lunch workout will still do your body good. Each and every effort will matter; it all adds-up in the end.
If you are wondering about what really goes on in your body, check this list out. Hopefully, it will encourage you to add more runs to your exercise regime. You and your body totally deserve-it!

1. Your heart rate increases
If there's one thing we all know, it's this: when you run, your heart-rate increases. The more intense the workout, the faster your heart-beats. As a result, various aspects of your body reap the benefits.

2. Blood circulation increases
Exercise causes the heart muscle to contract faster. More blood moves throughout your body, ensuring that each and every part is fueled and ready to go.

3. Your heart muscle gets stronger
Running gives your heart the workout it deserves. As it contracts and pumps blood, it becomes bigger and stronger. This way, it'll do a better job of getting enough nutrients and oxygen around your body.
4. Oxygen uptake rises
As your blood takes a trip around the body, oxygen uptake increases. It delivers oxygen straight to the brain, skin, and organs, making sure everything is in tip top shape. These body parts need adequate oxygen in order to be the best that they can be.

5.It boosts brain-power
Along with your heart, your brain becomes stronger when you run. As oxygen reaches your brain, new neural connections form. Memory making neurotransmitters are also enhanced during physical activity. Again, this comes down to your brain's hunger for oxygen uptake and blood-circulation.

6.Stress is reduced
Let's face it — stress is a normal part of life. We all feel bogged-down every now and then, especially during big life changes or deadlines. When you run, your brain produces less stress hormones and more endorphins. This is essential for relaxing your senses and clearing your head.

7.Muscles strengthen
When you run, your muscles tear ever so slightly. Your body then rebuilds them. This is exactly how muscles become defined and strong. And because running requires the entire body to move, multiple muscles will reap the benefits.

8.Your mood improves
This goes hand in hand with stress reduction. Running is an awesome way to boost self-confidence and personal outlook on one's self. It also enhances the brain's production of specific neurotransmitters that makes you feel better.

9.Sleeping gets better
After a good run, you're more likely to get an awesome night's rest. After all, getting enough shut eye is vital for overall health. It's crucial for proper focus, concentration and all around badassery.

For many centuries, people of tropical areas know about the wonderful health benefits of tender coconut water, which comes from young green coconut. Each nut contains about 200 to 1000 milliliters of coconut water.

Tender coconut water contains more nutrients than mature coconut water. This health drink poses the anti-aging hormone cytokinins, which has antithrombotic and anticancer properties. Keep watching to know what coconut water can do to your body.

1. Relief from Hangovers
Coconut water is a great natural remedy for hangovers. Alcohol reduces water in your body and it causes dehydration after your morning blues. Coconut water replenishes electrolyte in the body and enhances hydration, which makes you feel better. Antioxidants in coconut water fight oxidative stress due to excessive alcohol intake.
2.Balances pH
Acidic foods, stress, and toxins, often contribute to acidic pH levels that cause less energy and reduce the body’s ability to absorb vitamins and minerals. An acidic pH contributes to problems like stressed liver function, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes, hypertension and deficiency of immunity. Coconut water has an alkalizing effect that helps restore a healthy pH in the body.
3.Natural Diuretic
Coconut water acts as a natural diuretic, thus, promotes production and flow of urine. It cleanses your body’s toxic substances. It also helps prevent problems like urinary tract infections.
Due to its high potassium content, coconut water helps to accumulate urine and helps in dissolving some types of kidney-stones so that they get out of the body.

4.Promotes Weight Loss
Coconut water is an ideal beverage for weight-loss. It is low in calories and is easy on the stomach. In fact, this light and fresh drinks contain various bioactive enzymes which help boost metabolism and digestion of fat.
In addition, coconut water is rich in potassium, which helps to balance sodium. Excessive sodium causes water retention in the body making you look fat. Coconut water helps to extract excess water as well as toxins from your body.
5.Reduces Blood Pressure
Coconut water is considered good for controlling hypertension, thanks to its vitamin c, potassium, and magnesium content. Potassium, in particular, helps to reduce blood pressure by balancing the negative effects of sodium.
6.Beneficial after prolonged exercise
Coconut water may be the perfect beverage for restoring hydration and replenishing electrolytes lost during exercise.
Electrolytes are minerals that play several important roles in the body, including maintaining proper fluid-balance.
They include potassium, magnesium, sodium and calcium.
Two studies found that coconut water restored hydration after exercise better than water and equal to high-electrolyte sports beverages.
7.May have antioxidant properties
Free radicals are unstable molecules that are produced in your cells during metabolism. Their production increases in response to stress or injury.
When there are too many free radicals, the body is said to be in a state of oxidative stress, which can damage cells and increase the risk of disease
Research on animals exposed to toxins has shown that coconut water contains antioxidants, modifying free radicals so they no longer cause harm.

You know the seriousness of cancer. You know the toll it takes mentally, emotionally, financially, spiritually, and physically. It causes stress in your own mind and body as well as in your relationships with friends and family. Cancer treatments can make it hard to do the things you’ve always done as a human being.
What if I told you there was something you could do right now to cut your cancer risk in half? That’s right, in half! “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

By Avoiding the Following Foods, you Can Reduce the risk of cancer by half.
1.Grilled Red Meat
While grilled food can taste delicious, scientists have discovered that preparing meats in this way – especially processed meats like hot dogs – releases a carcinogen called heterocyclic aromatic amines. When you grill red meat to the point of well-done, it changes the chemical and molecular structure of the meat. You’re better off baking, broiling, or preparing meat in a skillet than on the grill.

2.Refined Sugar
The biggest cancer causing food (by far) is high-fructose corn syrup and other refined sugars. Even brown sugar is highly refined white sugar with some of the removed molasses added back in for flavor and color. Refined sugars (and foods made with them) are the source of major insulin spikes and feed the growth of cancer cells. Since the majority of the sugar supply in the U.S. is made using genetically modified (GMO) sugar beets, a healthier option would be organic honey.

3.Microwave Popcorn
From the chemically-lined bag to the actual contents, microwave popcorn is at the center of lung cancer debates around the world. Not only are the kernels and oil likely GMO (which the manufacturer does not have to disclose) unless organic, the fumes released from artificial butter flavoring contain diacetyl, which is toxic to humans. Make your own organic popcorn the old-fashioned way – it tastes better, doesn’t release toxic fumes, and is a healthier choice for you.
4.Canned Goods
Most cans are lined with a product called bisphenol-A (BPA), which has been shown to genetically alter the brain cells of rats. Many plastic goods, thermal paper, water lines, and many dental composites also contain BPA. Help protect your DNA by sticking to fresh or frozen vegetables that have no added ingredients for your family’s table! These are better for you and available year-round.

5.Farmed Fish
Commercial fish farming involves raising an incredible number of fish (such as salmon), in a crowded environment. More than 60% of the salmon consumed in the United States comes from a farming operation where they are treated with antibiotics, pesticides, and other carcinogenic chemicals to try and control the bacterial, viral, and parasitic outbreaks that result from cramming so many fish in a small space. Farmed fish also don’t have as much omega-3 as wild salmon.

Follow these 4 anti-cancer diet tips to prevent cancer the easy way:
1. Eat organic whenever possible.
2. Choose raw or clean frozen if availability of fresh product isn’t good in your area.
3. If you eat animal products, make sure they’re pastured and grass-fed meats and dairy goods. Use only high quality oils such as coconut oil, olive oil, and ghee.
4. Cut back drastically on grains and sugars.

There are many different weight loss solutions out there. This includes all sorts of pills, drugs and natural supplements. These are claimed to help you lose weight, or at least make it easier to lose weight combined with other methods. They tend to work via one or more of these mechanisms:
Reduce appetite, making you feel more full so that you eat fewer calories
Reduce absorption of nutrients like fat, making you take in fewer calories
Increase fat burning, making you burn more calories
Here are the 5 most popular weight loss pills and supplements, reviewed by science.

1.Green Tea Extract
Green tea extract is a popular ingredient in many weight loss supplements. This is because numerous studies have shown the main antioxidant in it, EGCG, to aid fat burning. Green tea extract is believed to increase the activity of norepinephrine, a hormone that helps you burn fat. Many human studies have shown that green tea extract can increase fat burning and cause fat loss, especially in the belly area.

2.Green Coffee Bean Extract
Green coffee beans are simply normal coffee beans that haven't been roasted. They contain two substances believed to help with weight loss, caffeine and chlorogenic acid. Caffeine can increase fat burning, and chlorogenic acid can slow the breakdown of carbohydrates in the gut.
Several human studies have shown that green coffee bean extract can help people lose weight. Green coffee bean extract may help lower blood sugar levels, and reduce blood pressure. It is also high in antioxidants.

3.Raspberry Ketones
Raspberry ketone is a substance found in raspberries, which is responsible for their distinct smell. A synthetic version of raspberry ketones is sold as a weight loss supplement. In isolated fat cells from rats, raspberry ketones increase breakdown of fat and increase levels of a hormone called adiponectin, believed to be related to weight loss.
There is not a single study on raspberry ketones in humans, but one rat study using massive doses showed that they reduced weight gain
.
4.Hydroxycut
Hydroxycut has been around for more than a decade, and is currently one of the most popular weight loss supplements in the world. There are several different types, but the most common one is simply called "Hydroxycut." It contains several ingredients that are claimed to help with weight loss, including caffeine and a few plant extracts. One study showed that it caused 21 lbs of weight loss over a 3-month period

5.Garcinia Cambogia Extract
It is a small, green fruit, shaped like a pumpkin. The skin of the fruit contains hydroxycitric acid. This is the active ingredient in garcinia cambogia extract, which is marketed as a diet pill. Animal studies show that it can inhibit a fat-producing enzyme in the body and increase levels of serotonin, potentially helping to reduce cravings.
One study with 130 people compared garcinia against a dummy pill. There was no difference in weight or body fat percentage between groups.

Along with the extraneous weight come the associated chronic diseases: diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and immune system dysfunction, to name the worst.

When it comes to losing weight, there’s more to the equation than the number of calories you eat versus how many you burn. Our bodies are affected by environmental and lifestyle factors that must be considered.

1.Environment
We are surrounded by human-made chemicals. They’re in our food, water, air, packaging, building materials, and personal care and household products. As the effects of these chemicals are studied, science is finding that many of them seriously mess up human physiology. Many chemicals (called obesogens) are known to cause weight gain and a resistance to weight-loss by disrupting the endocrine system.

2.Food
Emulsifiers, coloring, preservatives, flavoring, and pesticidesin and on our food are causing inflammation, illness, and disease. The more a food is processed, the less nutritional valueit retains. Even fresh produce is questionable: the use of chemical-fertilizers and herbicides, along with genetic modification and varietal reduction, are detracting from inherent nutrition of vegetables and fruits.
One example is triflumizole (TFZ), a common fungicide sprayed on food crops. It has been shown to cause weight-gain in mice and to put their fetuses at significantly higher risk for developing obesity than mice not exposed to TFZ.

3.Prescription Drugs
We’re a drug culture. Almost half of us are taking at least one prescription. Over 23% are taking three or more on a regular basis. In 2016, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that over 75% of doctor visits resulted in patients leaving with a prescription.

4.Gut Microbiome
The modern Western diet is killing our guts. The majority of our immune-system lives in our gastrointestinal tract; it’s packed with friendly bacteria that break down food, destroy harmful-bacteria and other micro-organisms, promote waste elimination, and more. Chemical-laden and nutrient-poor foods discourage pre- and pro-biotic bacteria and that’s directly affecting our health.
Antibiotic medications kill both harmful and health-critical gastrointestinal microflora; their overuse and misuse have led to antibiotic resistance.
These factors throw our internal ecosystems out of whack. The consequences include changes to metabolism, hormone-imbalance, and systemic inflammation—all contributors to obesity.

5.Chronic Stress
Everyone has stress in their lives; not only is it normal, it’s necessary for survival. Chronic stress, however, potentiates a whole host of health problems, including weight-gain. Stress hormones such as cortisol initiate a chain reaction that puts your body in survival-mode, regulating blood-pressure and blood-sugar, heart-rate, hunger, other hormones, and overall metabolism. There is a definite link between chronic-stress and obesity.
How to Fight Back
Knowing the cause of a problem helps a great deal toward finding solutions. Directly addressing culprits that cause us to gain-weight will help us to lose excess and keep it off.
• Eat whole foods, keeping processed foods to a minimum.
• Ensure you get regular adequate, good-quality sleep.
• Find constructive, healthy ways to manage stress.
• Cut out added and refined sugars
• Keep up or increase your aerobic and resistance training exercise program.
